A Special General Meeting of the Association was held on Saturday 3rd August to elect the AIRO nomination for appointment to the Board of Horse Racing Ireland.
Council Members, Brian Polly and Caren Walsh were the two candidates contesting the election and Caren Walsh, having received the most number of votes, was deemed elected as the Association's nominee for that appointment.

A Special General Meeting of the Association will be held on Saturday 3rd August 2019 at 12pm in the ITBA Building, Kill, Co Kildare.

The purpose of the meeting is to confirm election of the candidate who received the most number of votes for the nomination of the AIRO representative to the Board of Horse Racing Ireland.
